compassionate calling
Compassionate Calling is a membership program for businesses such as funeral homes, hospitals, hospices, long-term care facilities and medical practitioners who come into immediate contact with newly bereaved families. The Good Grief Center will call grieving families within weeks of the death offering comfort, education and referrals. By placing such calls to families on behalf of Compassionate Calling members, those businesses are able to show their ongoing concern and support for the families they serve.
Compassionate Calling members may also select from a menu of added services. Follow-up calls to families during the holidays or on anniversaries can be made on behalf of members. They may also send Good Grief Center Care Packages. As member Kitty Lesko, Director of R. V. Anderson Funeral Home states, “I want my families to know our relationship didn’t end with the funeral. The Compassionate Calling Program shows I do care.”
